Watts Hall Community Arts presents "Charlotte's Web" by Children's Museum, Theatre of Maine

    THOMASTON — Watts Hall Community Arts, in collaboration with The Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine, invites you to experience the timeless tale of "Charlotte's Web" live on stage, Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 6 p.m., at Watts Hall Community Arts (174 Main St., Thomaston). 

    Adapted by Joseph Robinette from E.B. White's beloved story, this production follows the adventures of Wilbur, an irresistible young pig, and Charlotte, a clever spider determined to save his life. Produced by special arrangement with Dramatic Publishing, this heartwarming play explores themes of friendship, love, and loss, captivating audiences of all ages.

    Thanks to a generous Local Community Grant from Walmart #1797, tickets for this event are offered on a Pay-What-You-Can sliding scale, with a suggested price of $15/person. 

    “This unforgettable theatrical experience is recommended for ages 5 and up,” said Community Arts, in a news release.

    About the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine:

    The Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine was formed in 2008 through the merger of two longstanding children’s organizations in Portland, both founded by the Junior League of Portland. The Museum & Theatre boasts the oldest continuously operating children’s theatre in the nation, initially established as the Children’s Theatre of Maine in 1923 and now known as Maddy’s Theatre. With a rich history spanning over a century, the organization is dedicated to providing experiential learning experiences for toddlers through teens and their families.
