Waldo County Sheriff’s Office beat: Accidents, OUI, domestic violence assault

    BELFAST — The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity Jan. 25-29. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt.

    Jan. 25

    Deputy Daniel Thompson responded to a two-vehicle accident on Martin Corner Road in Lincolnville. The operator of a 2000 Dodge was following a second vehicle that had slowed to turn left onto Poland Road. The operator of the Dodge stated the other driver did not use their signal to indicate they were turning, and so they attempted to pass the vehicle. The operator struck the second vehicle, a 2002 Volkswagen, as it was midway through the turn. The driver of the Volkswagen reportedly stated that they had used their indicator. There were no injuries.

    Jan. 26

    Daniel W. Prince, 29, of Belfast, was issued a summons for an inspection sticker violation on Swan Lake Avenue in Swanville.

    Brent Kneeland, 28, of Verona Island, was arrested for failure to appear.

    Larry Bowler, 36, of Windsor, was issued a summons for failing to keep right.

    Deputy Darrin Moody responded to the scene of two-vehicle accident on Augusta Road in Morrill, where the operator of a 2008 Chevrolet failed to keep in their proper lane. The vehicle sideswiped an oncoming semi-trailer. There were no injuries. The operator of the Chevrolet was issued a summons for failure to keep right.

    Chester M. Trundy, 58, of Swanville, was issued a summons for operating under the influence on Harriman Road in Swanville.

    Jan. 27

    Michael Gushee, 53, of Searsmont, was arrested for domestic violence assault on Woodsman Mill Road in Searsport.

    Peter Shaw, 66, of Swanville, was issued a summons for possession of a usable amount of marijuana on Stevens Road in Swanville.

    Nancy G. Shaw, 38, of Belfast, was issued a summons for unlawful furnishing in schedule Z drugs on Stevens Road in Swanville.

    Jan. 28

    Tery Moore, 36, of Palermo, was arrested for violating conditions of release on Hostile Valley Road in Palermo.
