Event has passed

ROCKLAND — A silent reading party is exactly what it sounds like, according to Rockland Public Library, in a news release. On Tuesday, March 19, at 6 p.m., participants are invited to gather in the cozy Reading Room at Rockland Public Library with books in hand. Bring a blanket or wear comfy clothes.

People are invited to first mingle for 5ish minutes and then get down to the business of reading in their chosen spot. Participants will read for an hour and the evening will end with 10-15 minutes for everyone to gather together once more and talk about what they were reading.

    Quiet snacks provided.

Participation in the Library's Adult Winter Reading Challenge is NOT a requirement to attend this event, however, if you are, it counts as a bonus entry into the draw.

For more information, call 594-0310 or email refesk@rocklandmaine.gov.

The Library is located at 80 Union. Event is free and open to the public.
