THOMASTON — Richard S. ‘Rick’ Hunt, age 65, owner of Cutting Edge Painting & Construction, died suddenly on March 19, 2024, after a very brief illness.

Rick was born on June 11, 1958, and was raised in Marlborough, Massachusetts. He lost both parents at a young age, and it was that challenge that formed him into having the determination and boldness that he was known and loved for. He worked as a high-rise steel welder and was later a self-employed carpenter. Rick loved working with his hands.

When not working, Rick loved restoring cars, and was especially proud of his ’71 Camaro that he restored to the beauty it was.

He was also a very loving man.

Rick was predeceased by his sister, Sandy Craft, of Texas.

He is survived by his sons, Jared Hunt and his wife Daryan, of Washington, and Justin Hunt, of Rockland; his adored granddaughter, Willow Hunt; and his sister, Debbie Hunt, of Texas.

The family has chosen to remember Rick’s life privately at this time.
