BELFAST — Leroy Kenneth Thomas, 86, passed away Saturday, March,16, 2024. Leroy was born February 24, 1938, in Belfast, Maine, the son of the late Clayton and Pauline (Phinney) Thomas. Although his life took him in many directions, he was born and passed away in the same home. 

Leroy served in the National Guard from the fall of 1957 to 1958 during the Korean conflict. 

Leroy spent a lifetime of 45 years with his partner, Mary Colby, at Mary’s Oak Hill Barn, in Swanville, buying and selling everyday household items and furniture.

Leroy was predeceased by his parents; and his brother, Donald Thomas.

Surviving are his children, Felicia Thomas, Letitia Thomas, Troy Thomas, Christopher Thomas, and Patrick Thomas, Mary Colby and her children Pam Colby, David Colby, and Dennis Colby; 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 6 great, great grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024, at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave, Belfast. Visiting hours are from 10-11 a.m., with service starting at 11 a.m. Private burial will be held in the spring.
