CAMDEN — Poet Dave Morrison hosts his annual Downtown Poetry Party to celebrate the release of his seventeenth collection, We Are Here and It Is Now (Soul Finger Press 2024).

“The event, which will feature his trademark looped-electric-guitar-spoken-word mashup will take place on Friday, March 8, at 7 p.m., in the Camden Opera House 3rd floor Blue Café space,” said Morrison, in a news release. “The event is free, and all are welcome, especially those who think they don’t like poetry.”

Copies of the book will be available for purchase.

Dave Morrison's poems have been published in literary magazines and anthologies, and featured on Writer’s Almanac, Take Heart, and Poems from Here. Morrison has published seventeen books of poetry including Clubland (poems about rock & roll bars in verse and meter, Fighting Cock Press 2011), Cancer Poems (JukeBooks 2015), and Psalms (100 micropoems – JukeBooks 2017).
