Event has passed

TENANTS HARBOR — The University of Maine Cooperative Extension 4-H Camp and Learning Center at Blueberry Cove announces the return of its annual Chill and Chili Dip event Saturday, March 23, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., at 22 Blueberry Cove Road. The family-friendly event brings together locals and visitors for a day of winter fun, delicious chili, and community spirit.

Attendees can dip into the waters of the cove and then warm up with a chili lunch spread and a bonfire. All proceeds will support scholarships for Maine youth to attend camp. New this year, participants will also be able to use a mobile sauna donated by Native Sauna and purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win baskets sponsored by local businesses.

"We are thrilled to bring back the Chill and Chili Dip for its second year," said Megan Moroney, program coordinator at Tanglewood and Blueberry Cove, in a news release. "This event is not only a great way to come together as a community but also an opportunity to support the mission of Tanglewood and Blueberry Cove."

Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m. at The Maine Lodge on the day of the event. Dippers should come prepared with appropriate swimwear, towels and warm clothes to change into after the dip. Please leave pets at home.

The event is pay-what-you-can, with a suggested donation of $10-20. Registration costs include the dip, sauna, lunch, and 5 raffle tickets.
