Camden Planning Board to consider application for new floats at Lyman-Morse

Mon, 03/25/2024 - 12:30pm

CAMDEN — Lyman-Morse is hoping to install four new floats off of its Camden inner harbor waterfront property and will talk with the Planning Board Tuesday evening, March 26, at 5 p.m. via Zoom as to whether submitting an application will trigger a site plan review process.

The preapplication meeting will include a presentation by Camden Properties, LLC & CL-Camden (Lyman-Morse) about the proposed expansion. That entails four eight-foot by 30-foot floats on the Camden inner harbor.

The Harbor Committee has scheduled a March 27, 8 a.m., site visit, and the Planning Board will likewise decide March 26 if its members will join on that visit.

Camden Planner Shenley Neely said in a March 26 memo to the Planning Board that the board would hold a public hearing within 30 days after the site plan application first appears on the board’s agenda.

“If the board determines that the comments from the Conservation Committee are warranted a formal request should be made at the pre-conference,” she said.

    The agenda follows:
