ROCKPORT — The Rockport Public Library's Poets' Corner will be celebrating National Poetry Month with readings by Poets’ Corner members and others who wish to be included, Thursdays, April 4 and April 18, from 4 to 5 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

The first event, on Thursday April 4, will be dedicated to remembering the Rockport Public Library Poets’ Corner co-founders, George Chappell and Jim Ostheimer.

The second event on April 18 will include members reading their own poems.

There will be a sign-up sheet at both events for those in the audience who wish to read their own poetry aloud.

RPL Poets’ Corner is a group of local poets that meets twice a month, on first and third Thursdays at 4 p.m. at the Rockport Public Library. New members are always welcome. For more information, please contact the Rockport Public Library or send an email to bill@wcedesign.com.
