ROCKLAND — Celebrate February vacation by enjoying books and poems about winter at Rockland Public Library.
Ellen Bryan Obed, Maine author, with nine books for children, will be sharing her stories with us in the Children's Room, followed by a craft, Thursday, Feb. 22, from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m.
Raised on a small farm in Waterville, her writing reflects her love of nature and the seasons. Her books Twelve Kinds of Ice and A Letter from the Snow have winter settings in Maine while her book Little Snowshoe has a setting in northern Labrador Canada.
Bryan Obed and her husband have recently taken up residence in Ellsworth.
