BELFAST — The Solar Workshop Series co-hosted by the Belfast Free Library and ReVision Energy continues with two programs in April.

Thursday, April 11, the topic will be “Solar + Storage” and Thursday, April 25, will be all about “Community Solar.” Both presentations will take place at 6:30 p.m., in the Abbott Room of the Belfast Free Library, 106 High Street.

On April 11, ReVision Energy’s Brandon Mazur, will give a presentation about how to make the cost-effective switch to solar combined with battery storage for backup power. He will describe how you can combine solar power with reliable battery storage to make your home resilient in the face of unknown health and environmental threats.

“When paired with modern, robust battery technology, today’s solar panels provide the ultimate resiliency package while reducing carbon pollution and our societal need to import dirty fossil fuels,” said a news release. “With a rooftop array you can make 100% of the energy you need, while the battery storage ensures backup power when the sun isn’t shining, or the grid goes down.”

On Thursday April 25, ReVision Energy’s solar farm expert, Kevin Boyan, will share how you can access the benefits of going solar by joining a local Community Solar Farm (CSF).

All of the programs in the series will be recorded and made available on the Belfast Free Library’s YouTube channel. For more information call the library at 207-338 3884 ext.10. For more information about ReVision Energy, visit www.revisionenergy.com
