WALDOBORO — “With much gratitude, Valerie Jackson is awarded Medomak Valley High School’s 2024 Horace Mann Mugs and Kisses award,” said MVHS, in a news release. “This recognition celebrates a support staff member for their effort in making a difference in the lives of students at our school.”

Mrs. Jackson began working in RSU 40 in 1998. Through the years, she moved from Prescott Memorial School to Medomak Valley High School where she tirelessly and relentlessly works to assist students in achieving their credits and obtaining a valuable education.  

Beyond that, Mrs. Jackson sees a need and immediately fills it, whether it is in the kitchen, the greenhouse, the special education resource room, or whether she is substituting for teachers and organizing files.

“She is a valuable asset to our staff,” said MVHS.
