Earth Day Roadside Clean Up in South Thomaston hits the streets April 20

SOUTH THOMASTON — This year’s Earth Day Roadside Clean Up, in South Thomaston will be Saturday, April 20.
Stop by the Gilford Butler Center around 9 a.m. to pick up grabbers (for early birds anyway), bags, gloves, safety signs, and the appreciation of South Thomaston Conservation Commission for taking part in this year’s event. Or start in your neighborhood and bring what you collect to the GBC.
“Whether unintentionally discarded or not, litter needs to be intentionally picked up,” said the Commission, in a news release. “When was the last time you were appreciated for doing something that only takes a few hours but has a great deal of impact? The answer could be April 20, 2024.”
