Waldo County Sheriff’s beat: Drugs, speeding, violating bail conditions

    BELFAST — The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity Oct. 7-20. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt. 

    Oct. 7

    George E. Eaton, 35, of China, was issued a summons for speeding 34 mph in a 25 mph zone on Main Street in Unity.

    Shelby L. McClintock, 19, of West Wareham, Mass., was issued a summons for excessive sound on School Street in Unity.

    Oct. 10

    Zachary L. Shelley, 18, of Hermon, was issued a summons for speeding 49 mph in a 30 mph zone on School Street in Unity.

    Cynthia C. Busch, 57, of Winterport, was issued a summons for criminal trespassing on Pine Street in Winterport.

    Oct. 15

    Amanda J. Ryan, 30, of Monroe, violating conditions of release on Public Safety Way in Belfast.

    Oct. 17

    Joseph Luch, 33, of Liberty, was arrested for stealing drugs, possession of a useable amount of marijuana and violating conditions of release.

    Oct. 18

    Norman A. Stacey, 59, of Ben Lomon, Calif., was issued a summons for speeding 62 mph in a 45 mph zone on Higgins Hill Road in Morrill.

    Shawn Perito, 21, of Searsmont, was arrested for possession of schedule W drugs and for a probation hold.

    Oct. 19

    Michael P. Beal, 41, of Tenants Harbor, was issued a summons for failure to provide proof of insurance on Atlantic Highway in Northport.

    Deputy Jonathan Shaw responded to the scene of a single vehicle accident on Route 1 in Northport, where the operator reported having fallen asleep while driving, resulting in the vehicle going off the road when the road turned. The vehicle was towed and the driver sustained possible back injuries.
