There were several sporting events played Thursday, Sept. 14 involving Midcoast teams.

Varsity Field Hockey: Leavitt 8, Oceanside 0

Leavitt netted five goals, three off corners, in the first half. Three of the goals came via Kaitlyn Leclerc. 

Leavitt add three more in the second, with two via corners. 

Leavitt had 16 corners, compared to Oceanside’s four. Leavitt had 17 shots on goal compared to Oceanside’s zero. 

Middle School Field Hockey: Oceanside 4, Camden-Rockport 2

Cece Tinch scored for CRMS in the first half while Molly Shook scored in the second on a Charlotte Hood assist. 

"Although we lost, this team has made huge strides since last season," said CRMS coach Robin Payson. "Their skills, speed, and positioning have improved immensely! We were also playing with just one sub on a warm day. I'm really proud of their commitment and focus."
