Pen Bay, Waldo County healthcares announce storm preparedness plans
As businesses and schools make decisions to close ahead of the storm that is due to seriously impact the Midcoast Tuesday into Wednesday, the hospitals in Knox and Waldo counties are making plans to both remain open for patients and reschedule non-essential personnel and procedures.
“We anticipate and prepare for all types of events so we are able to maintain our focus on caring for patients under any circumstances,” said Maine Healthcare Regional Director of Marketing Jenifer Harris. “In preparation for the upcoming storm we have made the decision to close certain non-essential services. All current inpatients will still receive 24-7 care.”
