ROCKLAND — Paul Sergio Brancella, 74, of Rockland, died unexpectedly Oct. 24, 2014, at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. Born in Italy on July 18, 1942, he was the son of Rudolpho and Maria Brancella and moved to New York City at the age of 16 with his family.

Paul worked as an apprentice at J.S. Waterman & Son Funeral Service and attended the New England School of Anatomy, receiving his embalming certificate.

After moving to Rockland in 1997, he worked as an embalmer for Davis Funeral Home in Thomaston for several years. Paul spoke seven languages, had a great sense of humor and enjoyed traveling. He was blessed with two daughters, Bianca and Tianna, whom he loved more than life itself. He will be remembered for his feisty personality, being unselfish and generous with his family and friends.

Surviving are his two young daughters, Bianca Brancella and Tiana Brancella, both of Rockland; a step-daughter, Janine Connors of East Boston, Mass.; and the mother of his children, Gail Hupper, also of Rockland.

A memorial mass will be held Saturday, Nov. 1 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church in Camden.
