ROCKPORT — The MSAD #28/Five Town CSD school districts will be executing emergency drills from 1:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on May 9, a scheduled early release day. With the exception of some high school students who are volunteering to help in the drill, students will have been released by the time the drills begin.

The drills will happen in both districts with emergency responders participating in the events. Conducting the drills on an early release day provides the staff the opportunity to practice an emergency scenario without impacting the instructional day.

The purpose of this drill is for the district personnel to practice processes and refine procedures as needed.

The MSAD #28/Five Town CSD school districts are making the community aware of this event to avoid alarm by the activity that may be noticed at the schools that afternoon.
