ROCKLAND – Sunday morning the Oceanside Boosters Club held its annual Mother’s Day 5K with a new course, and 67 runners and walkers. The weather certainly was not an issue as it was warm, but not hot, the course was pretty flat and it was early enough so there was not much traffic.

The race route took the runners from the high school on Broadway down to Park Street, where they took a left to Main Street and ran through the downtown business district all the way up to Mechanic Street, where they again took a left running to Broadway, another left and back to the high school to the finish line.

Keith Drago won the race with a time of 18:44; Kasey Cole was the first female across the finish line with a time of 21:11, good for seventh overall.
