The second half of the season is underway for most high school spring sports and teams are starting to look at each game as important as they cocky for a berth in the upcoming playoffs for each sport.

Here are some recent game results and recaps sent to the Pen Bay Pilot.

GIRLS LACROSSE
Gardiner 9, Oceanside 5... The Mariner girls faced the Tigers of Gardiner for the second time this season with Gardiner taking home the win each time.

Oceanside falls to 3-4 on the season. They now start a three-game road trip traveling to Oakland Friday, May 20 to take on Messalonskee, then Westbrook and Lincoln Academy before finishing up the regular season with two home games against Camden Hills and Morse. (Results from this game were not reported).

BASEBALL
Oceanside 10, Lincoln Academy 6 ... Nick Mazurek belted a pair of 2-run home runs while Logan Sheridan homered, added an RBI single and stole home to lead the Mariners to the road win.

Sheridan picked up his fourth win of the season, pitching 5⅔ innings, allowing four earned runs.

Matt Tomasello led Lincoln Academy with three hits, including a pair of doubles and an RBI while John Henry had a pair of hits and two RBIs.

Oceanside goes to 10-1 on the season with the win.

Waterville 15, Medomak 4... The Panthers of Waldoboro took on the Purple Panthers of Waterville Wednesday falling hard.

Riley McCollett, Adam Eustler and Jackson Vial pitched for Medomak in the loss. Vail had a pair of hits and two RBIs to lead Medomak at the plate.

Adam Barre and Cody Pellerin pitched the Purple Panthers to victory.

SOFTBALL
Oceanside 10, Lincoln Academy 2 ... The Mariners started out a little slow today but were able to pick it up as the game continued.

Chloe Jones (9-0) pitched well, hitting her spots and mixing her pitches with a 10 strikeout performance allowing two unearned runs on six hits.

Ari Curtis carried the Mariners at the plate with four big hits.

"We put some hits together and took advantage of their mistakes," said Oceanside coach Rusty Worcester. "We made to many mistakes ourselves committing five errors on the game but we were able to get out of some jams and they didn't really hurt us. Lincoln Academy came ready to play they pitched well today and worked hard."

Jones helped herself at the plate with three hits and Raechelle Joyce added a pair of singles. Katherine Laemmle led the Eagles at the plate with three hits, a triple and two singles.

GIRLS TENNIS
Camden Hills 4, Messelalonskee 1... The Camden Hills girls tennis team played a good Messalonskee H.S. team in Oakland and was able to come away with the victory. Jana Spieker and Katie Vannorsdall at #1 and #2 singles won their matches in straight sets and Naomi Landry won another tough three-set match at #3 singles.

Kelsie Merrill and Kassie Krul continued their steady play by winning their match at #1 doubles. The Windjammers finish their regular season on Friday when they travel to Farmington to play a very good Mt. Blue team.

Here, are the individual results, with Camden Hills players listed first, in singles, Jana Spieker defeated Alana Thomas 6-0, 6-0; Katie Vannorsdall defeated Taylor Ripley 6-2, 6-0; and Naomi Landry defeated Amanda Wiswell 6-2, 4-6, 6-2.

In doubles, Kelsie Merrill and Kassie Krul defeated Gabby Brooks and Sally Granholm 6-4, 6-0; and Frances Pendleton and Julia Holt lost to Gracie Vicente and Elena Guarino 6-7 (4-7), 0-6.

Lincoln Academy 5, Oceanside 0... The Mariner girls struggled on the court Wednesday falling to Lincoln Academy.

Here, are the individual results, with the Oceanside players listed first, in singles, Clara Feltus fell to Nettie Hoagland 5-7, 2-6; Mary Allen fell to Kate Westhaver 6-7, (8-10), 2-6; and Molly Davis fell to Poline Scimone 3-6, 1-6.

In doubles, Emma Lee and Gabby Simmons fell to Tessa Walsh and Hana Hirano 2-6, 4-6; and Jasmine Bouchard and Erin Dugan fell to Johanna Neeson and Shiann Keene 2-6, 7-6, (10-8), and played a tiebreaker for a third set due to a player illness 5-7.
