Atlantic Ballet Company stages ‘Beauty and the Beast’ in Camden amphitheatre

Thu, 07/20/2017 - 8:15pm

Atlantic Ballet Company will perform its original version of Beauty and the Beast at Camden's Library Amphitheater on Wednesday, August 2, at 4 p.m. This performance is the culmination of ABC's' five-week summer program, in which dancers ages 5 through 45 have trained in ballet and modern dance.

ABC's family friendly production of this classic runs approximately 45 minutes. Dance with Belle through the light hearted village scenes. Travel with her father through the depths of the forest, as he is pursued by the ominous wolves and experience Belle and her father's amazement as they watch the dinnerware, Lumiere, Mrs. Potts, Chip, Cogsworth, and Babette celebrate at the Beast's mystical castle.  Doused in humor and drama and costumed in spectacular, authentic creations by its directors Michele and Heather Cox, this outdoor performance will delight audience members of all ages.

In the event of rain, check the library website or Facebook for updated information.

Donations gratefully accepted. For more information, call Michele Cox at 207-542-9205.
