Chief Larry Hesseltine reported the following activity for Oct. 22 – 28:

Accidents

On Oct. 26, a car driven by Kyle McCormick, 30, of Alna, was hit in the rear while stopped in traffic by a vehicle operated by Evan Winokurzew, 27, of Richmond.

On Oct. 26, police responded to an accident between a car and a deer on Gardiner Road.

On Oct. 27, police investigated a motor vehicle accident near Sarah’s Café. A vehicle operated by Robert Bell, 91, of Rockport, rolled into a vehicle owned by Matthew Corwin, 61, of Wiscasset while parking. 

Police responded to 50 calls for service. Fifteen were property checks, 16 were traffic or vehicle-related and the others included a harassment complaint, several suspicious activity reports, several instances of assisting citizens, one burglar alarm on Lowelltown Road, one instance of community policing at the school dance, and an investigation of littering on Pooler Road.
