William F. Eddy, obituary

We would like to preface this by saying there will never be another Will Eddy.

William Fellows Eddy died Monday, February 18, 2019 in Knox County due to cancer and other illnesses. He was 61.  

Mr. Eddy was born in Camden, Maine where he grew up.  He graduated from Camden-Rockport High School in 1977.  

Mr. Eddy was affectionately known as “Willdog,” “Wharf Rat,” or “Willie” by his family and friends. During his time in school he was on the track team, ski team, and raced sailboats, winning many awards in these areas.  

After high school Mr. Eddy’s passions revolved around the Camden Snow Bowl and Camden’s waterfront where he earned his nicknames. He also worked as a stone mason, landscaper, property caretaker and at times a DJ and local promoter of musical events at the Camden Snow Bowl.

Moving back to Maine from Maryland, he resumed his social interacting with friends and continued his hobby building dollhouses, as he enjoyed small detail work.

Mr. Eddy was always described as a generous, genuine, kind, and caring person.  He was known for his bright spirit which lifted those around him. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a huge heart.  He made anyone around him feel welcome and cared for. Mr. Eddy was also spoken of having great charm and politeness, which were said to be some of his most endearing qualities.  He loved his family and friends deeply.

Mr. Eddy is survived by his siblings, Christine Thompson, Robert Eddy, and Jonathan Eddy and Thomas Eddy predeceased.

He is also survived by his daughters Alanna Bianco, Heather Eddy, and Tanya Eddy, as well as his grandchildren Ayden and Liam Bianco, Opal Prymock, and Alexis and Michael Murphy.
