Wardens, state police find missing woman in Whitefield woods
A missing Whitefield woman with dementia was located last evening by game wardens and state troopers. The 66-year-old woman was located alive around 8 p.m.. She was last seen yesterday morning at 6:30 a.m.. Authorities were called late yesterday afternoon when it was determined she was missing from her home.
The woman was found in the woods behind a residence around 8 p.m., she was approximately one-quarter mile from her Whitefield home. When located, she appeared to be exhibiting signs of advanced hypothermia and was transported to Maine General in Augusta by Delta Ambulance personnel.
