ROUND POND VILLAGE — On Wednesday, July 3, at 7:30 p.m., Josie and Sophie Davis will perform music for two violins at the Round Pond Summer Concert Series.

The concert will feature music by classical composers from around the world alongside arrangements of fiddle tunes and waltzes.

The sisters grew up in Waldoboro where they were fortunate to have spent many an afternoon playing violin together and exploring Muscongus Bay in anything that floats, according to a news release.

Josie and Sophie received degrees from Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music and have taught and performed together around the world.

The concert will take place at the Little Brown Church on Rt. 32 in Round Pond Village. Doors open at 7 p.m., and admission is by a suggested donation of $12 for adults, children are free.
