Waldoboro Police beat: Deer-vehicle collision, harassment

    WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 133 calls for service from July 10-17. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. 

    July 10      

    Officer John Lash investigated an accident on Washington Road at 8:56 p.m. Christopher Powers, 32, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2017 Chevrolet utility vehicle. Powers was traveling northbound on Washington Road, swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway, and went off the road. Injuries were reported. 

    July 13

    Lash is investigating a report from a citizen that he is being harassed via text messages.

    July 15      

    Officer Chris Spear investigated an accident on Depot Street at 3:20 p.m. Kaitlyn Moholland, 26, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2012 Chrysler sedan. Moholland was traveling southbound, following the roadway and ran off the roadway. No injuries were reported.

    July 16      

    Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated a report from a citizen that she is being harassed. The subject was found and warned on harassment.
