Waldoboro Police beat: Burglary, vehicle and deer collision

    WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 135 calls for service from Feb. 12-21. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

    Feb. 16        

    Officer Nathaniel Jack investigated an accident on the Bremen Road at 5:18 a.m. Elizabeth Leeman, 50, of Bremen, was driving a 2015 Toyota sedan. Leeman was traveling northbound following the roadway. A deer ran out into the roadway and Leeman was unable to avoid it. No injuries were reported.

    Feb. 17                                               

    Kody Pruyne, 18, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Officer Jeffery Fuller for burglary.

    Feb. 21        

    Jack investigated an accident at the Winslow’s Mills, Atlantic Highway, and Kaler’s Corner intersection at 6:27 a.m. Gifford Campbell, 20, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet pickup truck. Roger Eugley, 48, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet pickup truck. Campbell was traveling south along Winslows Mills Road when he failed to yield the right of way and pulled out into the intersection. Campbell sideswiped Eugley’s vehicle, which traveling east on the Atlantic Highway. Campbell was issued a summons for not having insurance. No injuries were reported.
