Waldoboro Police beat: Accidents, criminal threatening

    WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 206 calls for service from June 11-20. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

    June 13       

    Officer Andrew Santheson investigated an accident on the Atlantic Highway at 9:02 a.m. Joseph Smith Jr., 75, of Nobleboro, was making a left turn onto the Atlantic Highway while traveling southbound, in a 2012 Toyota pickup truck. Margaret Boyle, 71, of Waldoboro, made a right turn from Depot Street, heading south onto the Atlantic Highway in her 2016 Ford sedan.

    June 15       

    Officer Dwight Jones investigated an accident on the Friendship Road at 4:48 p.m. Zachary McLaughlin, 18, of Waldoboro, was traveling southbound, following the roadway in his 2007 Chevrolet sedan, went off the roadway striking a tree.

    June 16       

    Stephen Haberski, 66, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Officer Jeffery Fuller for criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon.
