Waldo County Sheriff’s Office, beat: domestic violence, black ice

    BELFAST — The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity Jan. 22-29. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt.

    Jan. 22

    Robin Woodburn, 41, of Waldo, was arrested for failure to comply with the Sex Offender Registry on Wescott Stream Road in Waldo, stemming from an incident Dec. 19.

    Jan. 24

    Troy Applegate, 42, of Monroe, was issued summonses for operating after suspension and violating conditions of release on Dickey Hill Road in Monroe.

    Jan. 27

    Matthew R. Gibson, 34, of Swanville, was arrested for domestic violence assault on Swan Lake Avenue in Swanville.

    Olivia E. Carpentier, 22, of Troy, was issued summonses for an inspection sticker violation, failure to provide proof of insurance and failure to register a motor vehicle (150+ days) on Fisher Road in Monroe.

    Jan. 28

    Deputy Cassandra McDonald responded to the scene of a single-vehicle accident on Detroit Road in Troy where an operator lost control of their vehicle after hitting a patch of black ice. The vehicle, a 2005 Mercury, left the roadway and rolled over several times before coming to rest in a field. The driver was wearing a seatbelt and sustained a possible injury to the back. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
