Waldo County Sheriff’s Office beat: accidents, OUI

    BELFAST — The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity Nov. 27 - Dec. 10. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt.

    Nov. 27

    Casey Palmer, 28, of Bristol, was issued a summons for imprudent speed on Knox Ridge Road in Thorndike.

    Nov. 30

    Angela G. Philbrook, 33, of Unity, was issued a summons for unlawful possession of a schedule W drug on Killdeer Drive in Unity.

    Dec. 1

    Richard A. Cooksen, 56, of Waterville, was issued a summons for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle on Belfast Road in Knox.

    Scott Prior, 31, of Jackson, was issued a summons for operating without a license on Purple Heart Highway in Brooks.

    Adam Wallace, 42, of Jackson, was issued a summons for operating after suspension on Veterans Highway in Brooks.

    Melissa B. Conroy, 28, of Monroe, was arrested for operating under the influence and issued a summons for endangering the welfare of a child on Veterans Highway in Brooks.

    Dec. 3

    Casey J. Eaton, 33, of Stockton Springs, was issued a summons for operating after suspension on Fort Knox Road in Prospect.

    Dec. 5

    Amanda J. Ryder, 33, of Monroe, was issued a summons for speeding 48 mph in a 25 mph zone and failure to provide proof of insurance on Main Road South in Frankfort.

    Deputy Cassandra McDonald responded to the scene of a deer v. vehicle accident on Martin Woods Road in Palermo. The operator was uninjured and the 2014 Ford sustained minor damage.

    Dec. 6

    Jacob Dorr, 26, of Winterport, was arrested for failure to appear.

    Dec. 7

    Tayler S. Turner, 28, of Montville, was issued a summons for following too closely.

    Deputy David Wight responded to the scene of a single vehicle accident on Main Street South in Frankfort where an operator reportedly traveling too fast for the wet road conditions lost control of their vehicle. The 2007 GMC lost traction, spun 180 degrees and left the roadway on the right side, where it rolled over before coming to rest on its wheels. The driver was uninjured in the crash.

    Deputy Wight responded to the scene of a single-vehicle accident on Black Hill Road in Frankfort where an operator was reportedly traveling too fast for the snow-covered road. The 2013 Toyota drove traveled on to the unpaved shoulder which led the driver to overcorrect the vehicle, which struck a mailbox and also a utility pole, splitting it in two. The driver suffered incapacitating injuries and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
