BELFAST — The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity Feb. 24 - March 9. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt.

    Feb. 24

Deputy Cassandra McDonald responded to the scene of a single-vehicle accident on Waterville Road in Unity, where a westbound vehicle crossed the centerline before striking a ditch and rolling over. The 2012 Nissan came to rest on its side. When Deputy McDonald arrived at the scene the only occupant in the vehicle was the driver, Jacob R. Cyr, 26, of Sanford, who complained of neck pain. Cyr reportedly admitted he had been drinking alcohol at a nearby business and said he had been alone in the vehicle. A witness told McDonald that there had been a passenger in the vehicle who was picked up prior to McDonald’s arrival. That person, who was identified by the Unity fire chief, reportedly admitted to fleeing the scene because he is on bail conditions that prohibit its consumption, according to Deputy McDonald’s report. The passenger was transported to Waldo County General Hospital for possible injuries suffered in the accident. Jacob Cyr complained of neck pain but was cleared by Unity Ambulance before being arrested for operating under the influence.

    Feb. 26

Matthew Small, 32, of Unity, was arrested for domestic violence assault and violating conditions of release on Bangor Road in Unity.

    March 3

Paul J. Labonville, 26, of Troy, was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle without a license on Moosehead Trail in Troy.

    March 4

Deputy McDonald responded to a deer v. vehicle accident on Brooks Road in Thorndike. The driver was uninjured and their 2013 Chevrolet sustained functional damage.

    March 7

Taylor Matthews, 22, of Montville, was issued a summons for speeding 64 mph in a 35 mph zone in Montville.

Jason R. Roberts, 38, of Rockland, was arrested as a fugitive from justice.
