Waldo County Sheriff’s beat: speeding, domestic violence, leaving scene of an accident

    BELFAST — The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity Nov. 19 - Dec. 5. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt.

    Nov. 19

    Jason R. Huff, 43, of Unity, was issued summonses for terrorizing and aggravated criminal mischief on Main Street in Unity.

    Joseph L. McBride, 30, of Waldo, was issued summonses for an inspection sticker violation, failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle accident, failure to notify the Secretary of State of an address change, abandoning a motor vehicle on a public way, leaving the scene of a property damage crash, driving to endanger, and failure to give notice of an accident by quickest means on Valley Road in Brooks.

    Nov. 28

    Leslie D. Wilson, 39, of  Winterport, was arrested for domestic violence assault on North Street in Winterport.

    Nov. 29

    Veronica Wardwell, 69, of Northport, was issued summonses for speeding 69 mph in a 45 mph zone and operating to the left of solid double yellow lines on Swan Lake Avenue in Monroe.

    Deputy Cassandra McDonald responded to the scene of a deer v. vehicle accident on Bangor Road in Unity. The driver and passenger were uninjured and the 2008 Ford sustained minor damage.

    Nov. 30

    Roy Anderson, 35, of Dover Foxcroft was issued summonses for speeding 71 in a 45 mph zone on North Searsport Road in Frankfort. Anderson was later issued an additional summons speeding 68 mph on North Searsport Road in Swanville.

    Michael A. Abbott, 36, of Searsmont, was issued a summons for speeding 65 mph in a 45 mph zone on North Searsport Road in Frankfort.

    Angela Philbrook, 33, of Unity, was issued a summons for (three counts of) endangering the welfare of a child on Killdeer Drive in Unity.
