Waldo County Sheriff’s beat: passing a school bus, speeding

    BELFAST — The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity Oct. 24 - Nov. 1. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt.

    Oct. 24

    Megan McKeighan, 22, of Freedom, was issued a summons for passing a school bus with flashing lights activated on Belfast Road in Knox.

    Oct. 26

    Deputy David Wight responded to the scene of a deer v. vehicle accident on Pinnacle Road in Liberty. The driver was uninjured and the 2006 Subaru sustained minor damage.

    Oct. 27

    Dakota L. Miles, 21, of Hermon, was issued a summons for speeding 30+ mph over the posted speed limit on Swan Lake Avenue in Monroe.

    Oct. 31

    Jessica D. Maddocks, 34, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons for a seat belt violation on Augusta Road in Belmont.

    Nov. 1

    Deputy Cassandra McDonald responded to the scene of a deer v. vehicle accident on Main Street in Searsmont. The driver was uninjured and the 2007 Toyota sustained functional damage.
