Waldo County Humane Society announces upcoming rabies clinics

Fri, 10/27/2017 - 11:30am

The Waldo County Humane Society has changed the date of its November rabies clinic and has scheduled two additional clinics for December and January.
As always, rabies shots are free for pet owners who live in Waldo County. Those who live outside the county are welcome and will be charged $7 per shot. All clinics will run from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The November clinic will still be held at the Troy Town Office, 129 Rogers Road, Troy, but it is now set for Saturday, November 18. Dr. Jocelyn Burke from Little River Veterinary Hospital will administer the shots.

Two additional clinics are set for Saturday, December 2, at Lincolnville Fire Station with Dr. Chris Tomalty from Little River Veterinary Hospital and Saturday, January 6, at the Leroy Smith School in Winterport with Dr. Rachael Emerson of Ridge Runner Veterinary Services.

Pets should be on a leash or in a carrier. Bring proof of a previous rabies shot so your pet can receive a three-year rabies certificate.

In addition to rabies shots, coupons that offer discounts toward the cost of having pets spayed or neutered will be available. For information about the clinics call 852-5033. The Waldo County Humane Society is also on Facebook.
