Vehicle parking changes coming on Knowlton Street at Camden Rockport Middle School

    CAMDEN — Camden Police announced in a news release that with the beginning of school Sept. 4 and with the ongoing construction, there will be a change to the vehicle parking on Knowlton Street at the Camden Rockport Middle School

    This change may affect when children are dropped off and picked up from school, according to police.

    Police said that going forward, there will be no parking allowed on Knowlton Street from the Washington Street entrance to a point 280 feet on the left-hand side of the roadway. The change is necessary to improve the safety of students and the maneuverability of vehicles.

    The area has been marked with no parking signs.

    Police are alerting the public that any vehicles parked illegally may receive a $30 parking citation and may, if warranted, be towed from the area at the owner’s expense.
