BELFAST –  The Belfast downtown has been a happening place and opportunities to get into storefronts on Main Street or High Street usually don’t last very long. That was the case when recent renovations to the Belfast Bay Inn produced two new storefronts. They were quickly filled and held their respective openings on a sunny Wednesday, March 27.

The two retailers are familiar faces to Belfast.  Katwalk has offered fashions and friendly service on upper Main Street for many years, and has now relocated to 70 Maine Street occupying a larger, sunnier space.

“We’re very excited about the move, and love the new space. We can bring all of our favorites plus introduce new items. This has been a wonderful move,” said co-owner Kat Loblein, as she continued to clean and organize on opening day.

The second retailer moving into the new space at 72 Main Street  is EPOCH (pronounced “epic”), which is familiar to Belfast shoppers. The store’s brief hiatus has resulted in the move to their smaller but comfortable space. Owner Chase Hall was pleased with the opening.

“I am thrilled to be back on Main Street with Epoch Vintage Lifestyle Market and cannot wait to greet my regular customers back as well as first time customers to the new location.”

He said that the opening has helped him to select his favorite items and refine what he will be offering to the public.  He’s pleased with the diversity and style the shop offers.
