Teresa Cail of Knox, passed away on August 5, 2018 after a long, valiant fight with cancer.

Teresa will be remembered as a loving mother of five, a passionate swimmer, a creatively skilled cook, and an ever busy gardener. She was an exceptionally caring and giving person. Many will remember Teresa for her contagious smile, hearty meals, quirky humor, deep emotions, and incredible bravery in the face of adversity.

Teresa was born March 31, 1963 to parents Richard and Roberta Martin. Early in her life, Teresa possessed a natural swimming ability and a fighting spirit. With this she broke state records in freestyle events and led the Belfast Area High School swim team as captain to the state finals.

As a young adult, Teresa traveled the U.S. and lived in Anchorage, Alaska, and Santa Rosa, California. While in California, Teresa became a certified massage therapist at the Sebastopol Massage Center.

After working as a massage therapist for many years in Camden, Maine, and beyond, Teresa received her bachelor’s in education (K-12). She most recently worked as a teaching aid in the Mount View school system in Thorndike, Maine. In this role she was able to do what she loved best: helping others.
