The College Next program recently graduated six students from the Spring course.  These students successfully completed their preparation for college and several are already enrolled in classes at University College at Rockland (URock).  In addition to refreshing math and English skills, students earned three college credits for the COL 100-Intro to College Experience section of this course.  Feeling prepared is important for adult learners, and as one College Next student said, “I came into this class not sure what to expect. I've gained a lot of knowledge on things to prepare me for my journey through college.”

College Next is held on campus at URock, offering a lively student environment, as well as a modern computer lab and college experience. During the thirteen-week program, students complete important college activities; applying for financial aid, filling out paperwork for scholarships, refreshing study skills, exploring possible careers, and learning computer skills needed for college.

Registration is now open for the Fall 2018 College Next program which begins September 19th. The course is open to adult learners with a high school credential and a desire to enter college.  This program is supported by a generous grant from the Maine Department of Education, and instruction is offered free of cost.  For more information or to register call (207) 691-5751 or email pjunge@rsu13.org
