Five 5k race directors have combined forces to share event promotion and participation for their different events throughout the summer and the city of Belfast.

The YMCA, Coastal Mountains Land Trust and Rotary have staged events previously with newcomer, PAWS, joining the series this year.

All these events are meant to encourage participation, wellness and fun. They are timed events and there are top age-group winners but the style of the events is very inclusive and relaxed.  

Posters will be going up around town and the combined group has established a website: RunBelfast.org for registration information.

Each event must be registered for separately but once you have an account with Active.com, you will be able to add from the line-up easily.  

Spread from May through October with a break in September, there is something for everyone with 1 mile, 5k, 5 mile and 10k events.  

The five events include Paws, May 26; Coastal Mountains Land Trust, June 2; Rotary, July 21 & Aug 18; YMCA, Oct 7.
