Rockport Police beat: Texting while driving, speeding, unregistered vehicles

    ROCKPORT — Rockport police reported the following activity Feb. 24-March 2.  An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

    Feb. 24

    Kevin P. Dougherty, 46, of Rockland, was issued a summons by Officer Dana Smith for operating after suspension.

    Feb. 25

    Joshua Guimond, 32, of Camden, was issued a summons by Smith for operating after suspension.

    Gordon C. Gill, 41, of Rockport, was issued a summons by Smith for dog at large.

    Sarah E. Sawyer, 26, of Union, was issued a summons by Smith for texting while operating a motor vehicle.

    Christina M. Arey, 43, of West Rockport, was issued a summons by Smith for inspection violation, operating an unregistered motor vehicle more than 150 days.

    Feb. 26

    Jordan T. Roling, 22, of West Rockport, was issued a summons by Officer Travis Ford for insurance violation.

    Brian Bardsley, 37, of Rockport, was issued a summons by Officer Jim Moore for speeding 50 mph in a 35 mph zone.

    Lindsey M. Taylor, 25, of Port Clyde, was issued a summons by Ford for speeding 54 mph in a 35 mph zone.

    Feb. 27

    Mark Kelly, 49, of Lincolnville, was issued a summons by Moore for failure to register vehicle 30-150 days.

    Sawyer Pillsbury, 20, of Cushing, was issued a summons by Moore for failure to register vehicle 30-150 days.

    Jammie Murphy, 39, of Hope, was issued a summons by Officer Chris Taylor for operating with an expired license more than 90 days.

    Feb. 28

    Michael Watson, 22, of Hope, was issued a summons by Ford for insurance violation.

    March 2

    James H. Denman, 45, of Appleton, was issued a summons by Taylor for insurance violation.
