Rockport Police beat: Speeding, operating after suspension

    ROCKPORT — Rockport police reported the following activity Jan. 17-20. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

    Dec. 15 (late entry)

    Clifton Ross, 83, of Owls Head, was issued a summons by Sgt. Jim Moore for failure to register motor vehicle more than 150 days.

    Jan. 18

    Thomas Lyman, 46, of Lincolnville, was issued a summons by Moore for operating an unregistered motor vehicle more than 150 days.

    Jan. 19

    John T. Kappes, 65, of Brunswick, was charged by Officer Tony Delvecchio with operating after suspension.

    Jan. 20

    Adrian Ellis, 22, of Belfast, was issued a summons by Moore for speeding 50 mph in a 30 mph zone.
