Rockport considers agreement stipulations with nonprofit raising library building money
ROCKPORT — The Select Board in Rockport will convene this evening, at 6 p.m., to discuss and possibly approve a Memorandum of Understanding with the Rockport Library Foundation. That proposed agreement lays out how quickly the Foundation will reimburse the town for library construction expenditures.
Voters approved a $1.5 million bond in November 2018 to get the new library built, with the stipulation that the rest of the money, approximately $1.8 million, would be raised from donations.
The meeting will take place in the Geoffrey C. Parker Meeting Room at the Rockport Opera House and streamed live. https://livestream.com/Rockportmaine
