ROCKLAND — A Rockland woman who was arrested Nov. 17 for allegedly breaking the jaw of another woman at a pub was arrested again Feb. 3, this time accused of stealing a pickup truck.

Jacqueline Johnson, 38, also known as Jacqueline Harrington, was charged by Rockland Police with unauthorized use of property, criminal operating under the influence, passing a roadblock, refusing to submit to arrest, driving to endanger and violating a condition of release.

Johnson made her court appearance Feb. 5, less than three months since she appeared in Knox County Unified Court Nov. 20 on the charge of aggravated assault. Judge Susan Sparaco set her bail at $500 cash which she posted and was released from jail. She was also ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation.

According to the police affidavit filed in court, Rockland police received a report that a pickup truck had been stolen from outside a residence on Limerock Street in Rockland. The owner of the vehicle told police that the keys had been left in the vehicle.

Rockland police were then notified that Thomaston police were in pursuit of the stolen truck which they said was traveling at a high rate of speed on Old County Road, heading back towards Rockland.

The vehicle turned onto Limerock Street and Rockland police tried to stop the vehicle but Johnson drove up on the sidewalk. Police pulled in front of the vehicle to stop it from driving off, according to the affidavit.

Police said that Johnson refused to get out of the stolen vehicle and when they did remove her, she smelled of alcohol and was slurring her words. They transported Johnson to the Knox County Jail in Rockland where she refused to take a breathalyzer test.

At the time of the incident Feb. 3, Johnson had been on bail since Nov. 20 after being charged with aggravated assault against another woman at a pub in Rockland.

Johnson will appear in court again on March 15.
