Rockland police seek public’s assistance with locating stolen outboards

    ROCKLAND — Rockland Police have charged Alyssa Bennett, 23, and Stony Blue Vega, 38, both formely of Rockland, with receiving stolen property in reference to an outboard motor that was stolen from a boat in Rockland Harbor earlier this month, according to a news release posted on the department’s Facebook page June 22.

    According to Rockland police, Bennett and Vega have been charged with similar thefts of outboards from several other local law enforcement agencies including the Camden and Rockport Police Departments.

    “Local law enforcement agencies are still attempting to locate at least six other stolen outboards that the pair are suspected to have stolen and sold over the past two months,” Rockland police said in the news release.
