ROCKLAND — Jordan Jandreau has been hired as Rockland's new patrol officer, according to a news release from the department.

Jandreau is originally from the Baltimore, Maryland area. He joined the United States Army at age 17 and just reenlisted in his reserve unit for another six years.

He attended college at the University of Maine at Presque Isle.

Jandreau said that he joined law enforcement because he thought it would be a good match with his demeanor and personality.

“I was directed toward Rockland because of the great staff and the opportunity to learn. I also love outdoor recreation, and Rockland provides me with the opportunity to enjoy and expand my recreation on my free time,” Jandreau said.

“I look forward to working with the people of Rockland and getting to know all of its community activities,” he added.
