Rockland Police ask public’s help with identifying unclaimed items

    ROCKLAND — The Rockland Police Department have several lost items in their possession that are still unclaimed and they are hoping to locate their owners, according to a Sept. 6 news release.

    “In accordance with Maine State Law, if the owner of such property or any other person entitled to possession of the property has not claimed such property within five months of the date of such published notice, such property will be surrendered to the person who found it, if any, sold to the highest bidder at public auction, donated to a nonprofit organization or charity or disposed of as waste,” police said.

    The following list includes found, abandoned, lost or stolen property held by the Rockland Police Department:

    Wallets;

    Pocket books;

    Camouflage wallet;

    Silver wallet;

    Green pocket book with wrist strap;

    Debit and credit cards;

    $150 cash;

    $50 cash;

    $10 cash;

    $113 cash;

    $100 cash;

    $63 cash;

    Jewelry;

    Sandals;

    Ring found on sidewalk with stone;

    Women’s watch;

    Keys;

    Subaru key with other keys on lanyard;

    Toyota key/fob;

    Subaru keys with New York state key chain/carabiner;

    Nissan key fob with doll key chain;

    Two Honda keys with fob and one pair of sunglasses;

    Set of keys;

    Phones;

    Samsung phone with jacket;

    LG flip phone and older iPhone with case;

    Samsung S7 turned into the police department;

    Miscellaneous;

    Camera with strap and change;

    Prescription eye glasses found on School Street;

    Kentucky driver’s license.
