Rockland man charged after investigation of child pornography

    ROCKLAND — State Police have arrested a Rockland man and charged him with allegedly possessing child pornography.   

    Douglas Mills, 68, was arrested Wednesday, June 17, by members of the State Police Computer Crimes Unit and Rockland Police.

    Mills has been under investigation since January and his home at 41 Pleasant Street was searched in May. 

    An analysis of Mill’s electronic equipment allegedly revealed images of child pornography, according to a news release. He was charged with possession of sexually explicit material.

    Mills was taken to the Knox County Jail. 

    Also involved in the investigation was the probation division of the Maine Department of Corrections.
