Roberta (Boothby) McLellan, obituary

BELFAST — Roberta (Boothby) McLellan, 79, widow of Edward McLellan, died on Friday, February 9, 2018 at the Sussman House in Rockport.  Born on November 15, 1938 in Lincoln, she was the daughter of A. Hamilton and Beverly (Pratt) Boothby.

On May 31, 1958, she married Edward McLellan in Rockland.  For many years, Roberta worked as the office manager at H.H. Crie Hardware Store on Main Street in Rockland.   

Roberta and Edward later moved to Warren where they owned and operated Eddie Mac’s Market for several years. During the summer months, Roberta loved spending time at their camp in Turner and going to yard sales.  

Roberta had been a resident of Harbor Hill in Belfast for the past ten years, where she many had many good friends including her roommate, Mary.

Surviving are her two children, Rhonda Kent of Rockport, Robert McLellan and his companion, Vicky Simmons of Thomaston; four grandchildren, Kristina Campbell and her husband, David; Celena Kent; Nathan McLellan; Justin McLellan; two great-grandchildren, Emma and Paige Campbell; and two sisters, Maggie Mitchell of Scarborough and Susan Clifford of Hollis.  Roberta was predeceased by her husband, Edward McLellan in 2008 and a granddaughter, Missy Kent.

In keeping with her wishes, there are no public services planned.
