THOMASTON - Pamela R. Coombs, 71, died on January 4th at her home in Thomaston surrounded  by her loving family.

Pam was born May 19, 1947 in Rockland to Edmund J. Randall and Lucille Gillis Randall. Pam grew up in Thomaston and graduated from Georges Valley High School in the class of 1965.

Pam spent her whole 45 year career in the insurance business as an agent beginning at the Clarence F. Joy Agency, F.S. James Agency, and finally at the Allen Agency.

Pam was a Rainbow girl before joining the Grace Chapter #93 O.E.S. in Thomaston in 1965. She was a Past Worthy Matron several times, and served as a Grand Officer from 2002 to 2003. She was a long time member of the Thomaston Baptist Church. She also served as choir director of the Littlefield Memorial Baptist Church in Rockland for 17 years before coming back to the Thomaston Baptist Church.

Pam was a kind and generous person, and had one of the best Soprano voices in the area. She sang several times in the 1950’s on the Ted Mack Original Amateur Show. She enjoyed camping, being outdoors, and gardening.  She was very supportive in all of her grandson, Nathan’s, sports and endeavors.

Pam will be missed by all of her family and friends. Pam was predeceased by her parents. Pam is survived by her husband of 48 years, John H. Coombs of Thomaston, her son, Robert Coombs and his wife Jessi of Thomaston; grandchildren, Nathan Coombs of Thomaston, Karly Robinson of Rockland, Jasmine O’Farrell of Thomaston, Derek O’Farrell of Thomaston

Friends are welcome to join the family for a time of visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 10th at the Thomaston Baptist Church, 212 Main Street in Thomaston. The funeral and Eastern Star service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, January 11th at the Thomaston Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Sawyer officiating. A reception will follow the service at the church. Burial will be in the Village Cemetery in Thomaston in the Spring.
