New programs, events at Searsmont Town Library

    SEARSMONT — December is a busy month at Searsmont Town Library, according to a news release.

    Maine mystery author Gerry Boyle makes an appearance, Friday, Dec. 7, at 7 p.m.

    There will be an art opening featuring local artist John Ruis at noon, Saturday, Dec. 15, followed by a Holiday Raffle at 1 p.m. (treats and coffee served).

    New programs at the library include Board Game Night (ages 12+), Thursdays Dec. 13 and 27. Come with friends or meet new ones over classics like Scrabble and Chess, or try newer games like Tsuro or Ticket-to-Ride.

    Fridays are packed every week with a Music Listening Hour from 1 to 2 p.m., and the Return of the Brick – Lego building club (all persons under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult).
